• A tall tale?

  The Old Story Teller: "Legend tells of swords so mighty the gods them selves fear their existence. You may be wondering now, why would they not just destroy the blades?" He pauses to allow you to think about it before continuing, "The truth is, that they have tried, and to no avail." He allows this new knowledge to sink in a second, "The gods fear them, and mortals crave them, for you see, these blades can not only kill gods, they can kill the unkillable." He waits for a collective reaction from the audience and as more are drawn in he continues his tale. "There are six supposed blades. One a Rapier, whose elegant blade can only be wielded by one of noble decent. A Katana, which can only be used by one whos honor is great, and heart is pure. A massive split great sword, whos force can shake the earth and steal the light, this blade can only be used by one whos mind, body, and soul are in harmony. A curved blade, whos origins are cursed, only one who bares a curse as well can weild it. A Ignore Me for now that has finesse unrivaled, the wielder must show they are equally so. The last blade is by far the most shrouded in mystery, for none know what it is. Some speculate the final blade will only reveal itself to one who has shown promise to all the other blades. The wielder of this blade should need to bare upon them a great curse, be of noble blood, have a true and honorable heart, have finesse unrivaled, and have reached an inner harmony of mind, body, and soul. One fractured peice of this ancient tale hints that this final part is not a blade at all, but rather an armor that is only wearable by a mortal who will lead the final battle and, with hope at the hero's side, prevent the end times, and bring about the new age of mortal rule. This legend is not all glory, for the one who bares the hero's mark, shall be doomed to fall that very same day. The age of magic will come to a close, and with it, only mortal man will remain to roam. For many the end times will occur, and their histories will fade to legend, but know this, all legends bare a spark of truth." With this final word the fire before the man birsts forth leaving all nearby dazed, and find the old story teller vanished without another word. Six young travellers bare upon them a look of wonder, and each bare a semblance to the tale. Though the time is not now, for the mark of the hero has yet to be bore by a child of mortal man.
  
  The scene fades as the crowd disbands, each young traveller takes his leave with wonder in their hearts. To them it is a wonderous fantasy, full of adventure and bliss, they know deep down that their fantasy will never be held true, however everyone has a role to play in the grand scheme, so I bid you all adue, for my tale telling has ended, however the story has only begun to unfold. The travellers six are not the wielders of the blades, but rather the key to the doors ahead. The tale will carry on,generation by generation, and in the end all will either end, or a chapter will begin anew, in the grand story of the world we all live.
